BEING GREEN IN OUR OWN "BACKYARD"

We strive to infuse the Hudson Valley into our spirits and support our community...

...by using ingredients from our Hudson Valley "backyard".  Corn and grains for our bourbon are grown just down the road at Stone House Grain.  Apples for our applejack come from our friends at Migliorelli Farm.

We believe that being part of a community comes with a a responsibility to support that community. By sourcing our ingredients from our neighbors and friends we are part of an ecosystem that promotes economic and ecological sustainability.

But why stop there? Here are some fun ways that you can reuse our spirits bottles and help us be even greener. We'd also love to hear your ideas for re-using our bottles. If you have one you want to share, fill out the form below and it could show up on this page!

Instant Ambiance

Add a little flair to any table with an empty bottle and some led lights. Pick up a small string of lights at your local store. We like the battery operated strings that make the creation more portable, but wired strings work perfectly as well. Feed them into the empty bottle, flip the switch (or plug them in) and let there be mood lighting!

Aromatic Oils

Give your bruschetta something to be excited about! Fill our empty bottle with some olive oil, grab some fresh herbs (basil, thyme, rosemary or sage come to mind), toss them in with some garlic and peppercorns and let the oil soak in those fantastic flavors. Then impress your friends by breaking out your homemade herbed olive when you break bread with them at your next dinner party!

Brightened Spirits

Spirit science is fun! Drop some fresh fruit or citrus peels (we highly recommend blueberries or orange peel) into our empty bottle. A handful or so will do. Fill it the rest of the way with Fellows Gin or Three Cedars Vodka and let it steep for about 2 weeks and literally watch as all of the amazing flavor from the fruit gets extracted by the spirit giving you naturally infused Gin or Vodka. You'll know it's ready when the spirit changes color and has the scent of whatever fruit you've used. Then pour your friends a drink and give yourself an A+!
